Before Racha went onto sets it was Merupu which was being made on the Megaa Supe rgood films banner with Mega Power Star Ram Charan as hero. Tamil Director Dharani is supposed to work on the script. Even after one schedule shoot, director did not prepared the required script for the movie. In the mean time in first schedule they canned a song and a fight sequence. Later Chiranjeevi is not happy with the way the movie is progressing and scrapped the movie. After one month with the same producer, Racha started. Another reason for the MERUPU is the director quoting higher budget without having a proper script in place the makers thought it would be wise to shelve the project instead of spending such huge amounts on a not yet ready script. Makers have decided to use the song canned on Cherry to used in the Racha movie on April 27th (ie) on Ntr’s Dhammu release date to attarct collections. This would be a big surprise of Racha for Dhammu.
