Devudu Chesina Manushulu is releasing today across the globe to make the most of public holiday in India. When each and every big film is releasing in big number of screens, DCM opted for a low key release as it didn't get many theaters due to Julayi. This film is still fresh and hasn't yet completed one week's run.
As Julayi is getting wonderful collections all over, the buyers and exhibitors didn't like to replace it on a public holiday. Hence, DCM's theater count will only increase on second and third day. It will have to face the heat of Salman Khan's Ek Tha Tiger too. Despite all the odds, the makers of DCM chose to release it on Independence Day. This is a suicidal move because in such cases a movie has to get super positive talk to sustain in its first weekend.
When a film like Julayi is holding its ground firmly, it is better to give some gap between the next big release. This has become the strategy for big films in the recent times. But DCM didn't bother about all those logistics and simply hit the screens without even planning properly for the release. DCM is facing financial issues in few areas. Therefore it didn't release in time in some centers. Hope everything gets blown away by the success of the film.
