These days movie initial critical reviews are no way matching its actual performance at the box office.It all started with Racha's surprise blockbuster show.Despite of ultra normal storyline, it raked crores at the box office.Now we have another star movie taking the similar path.Yes, Dammu is making sensational business at the box office, contrary to the initial review reports.By the sixth day, the film collected Rs. 31 cr. (Rs. 24 cr. share in Andhra Pradesh).Even producer,K S Rama Rao, came out in public and thrashed the mixed reviews about the movie.Speaking at the success meet of the film, he said that the figures speak for themselves.
"Movie is doing a very good business across the state,however overseas business of NTR saw a huge dip. Dil Raju bought the distribution rights for Nizam territory even before the film went on floors. He is now happy that Dammu has been a bigger hit than Brindavanam.In Ceded and Andhra areas, movie is enjoying a record breaking run." noted a critic.
On the flip side, this continuous phenomenon of average movies turning into record breakers is not going well with Quality/Out-of-box movie lovers."Its sad to see regular and routine movies do such a huge business.If this is the case, there is no way our heroes come out of Viscous loop and make out of box movies" lamented a movie buff.
