Will Jagan Get Bail?

YSR Congress head Jagan is trying for bail and has filed a petition at the Supreme Court. Though he filed it sometime back he withdrew the application due to certain technical reasons.
Specifically the state government’s special GOs to provide legal assistance for five of their ministers the petition was withdrawn. But now, with the same GOs, Jagan has filed the bail petition.
If Supreme Court considers that angle then there is a chance of granting bail. Already, there is a contention that this case has been progressing on purely political basis. CBI will automatically oppose the bail. So it all boils down to the arguments at court and how Supreme Court will treat it.
This would decide the fate of Jagan. Even Jagan’s mother Vijayamma is positive that her son will get the bail this time and he will be released. The tension continues…

Jagan's Mother, Wife Arrested

Police Sunday night arrested YSR Congress Party leader Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy's mother, wife and other family members for staging a sit-in to protest his arrest.

Police women forcibly lifted Jagan's mother Vijayamma, wife Bharathi, sister Sharmila, and other family members into the waiting police vehicles after they sat on a "dharna" on the road in front of Dilkusha Guest House, the camp office of CBI. They were later dropped at their residence.

Police also arrested Jagan's brother-in-law Anil Kumar, Congress MP Sabbam Hari, who is loyal to Jagan, YSR party leaders J. Prabhakar Rao, Y.V. Subba Reddy and others.

Police said they were all arrested for violating prohibitory orders, which are in force in the city. The orders ban assembly of five or more people.

Vijayamma, widow of late Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy and family members staged sit-in for over two hours demanding the CBI officials come out and give them the reason for Jagan's arrest.

They earlier called on Jagan in the guest house. Vijayamma blamed Congress president Sonia Gandhi for her son's arrest. (IANS)

Who Is More Corrupt? Ramoji Or Jagan

Both these media barons are accused of using illegal funds to climb the ladder. Political circles are busy comparing them for the kind of unlawful moves they have made and are trying to find who is more corrupt.

Ramoji Rao owns more than one business that has pulled investments into his 'Eenadu' group. He is accused of doubling money by evading tax to the governments. With that black-investment, Ramoji made it big in the media businesses and the cases are still messing in courts. However, when it comes to Jagan, the total investment is said to be pulled through illegal means by threatening various industrialists.

As per CBI's second charge sheet, Jagan threatened various investors to buy Jagathi stakes at high prices and has never given them the dividends. Simply, Ramoji doubled his hard earned money by evading tax and Jagan got the whole money only through illegal means. So, it is for you choice now decide who is more corrupt.

Sakshi Accounts Frozen by CBI

The axe has finally fallen on Jagan Mohan Reddy’s financial and media muscle. The CBI has today frozen bank accounts of Jagathi Publications (publishers of Sakshi daily), Indira Television Pvt Ltd (Sakshi TV) and Janani Infra.

The CBI’s move comes in the wake of its chargesheet that these three companies benefited in quid pro quo cases. The action was taken under CRPC section 102. Following the notice by CBI, the accounts of these companies in SBI and OBC banks stand frozen.

Stung by the unexpected move, Sakshi management called as ‘vendetta’. It also dubbed the action as an ‘assault on the freedom of the press’. They alleged that the action was taken without even issuing notices to the companies concerned.

A statement in the name of Jagan, who was campaigning in Rayadurg in Anatapur, said that he hadexpected that such an ‘undemocratic’ action would be initiated by CBI in order to muffle the popular voice.

Prof Nageshwar, speaking on Sakshi TV demanded that the CBI and the government should ensure that the paper and the TV channel will have no problem in continuing their day-to-day operations. ABK Prasad, a strong supporter of Jagan, also condemned the CBI action.

Sakshi management issued a statement in the name of Dileep Reddy, managing editor, that the paper and the TV will continue to operate as usual despite the CBI restrictions. He also said that the management will approach Press Council of Indian against the CBI action.

The CBI decision will have far-reaching repercussions on Jagan’s political future too. Though it is early days to suggest that the media outlets of Jagan will shut down as a result of the freeze, the action will certainly dampen the spirits of the party as well as the employees.

Jagan has been able to make an impact and continues to influence large sections of people because of the might of his media. Launched with large investments, the print and electronic outlets haveplayed a key role in shaping public opinion in favour of Jagan.

It would be doubtful if Jagan would have the same advantage without the help of his media houses. Meanwhile, how long will Jagan be able to run his paper and TV channel without financial constraints is anybody’s guess.

Bhanu @ YSRC. Ganesh @ Congress. ??? @ TDP

You might have understood by now regarding what we are talking about. If the whole episode of Bhanu can be used against YSR Congress, Bandla Ganesh against Congress, then who is going to play spoilsport for Telugudesam.

As don Bhanu is revealing many things related to his association with Mangali Krishna, a close aide of YS Jagan, opposition is busy equating his misdeeds with YSR Congress. Likewise, based on a complaint lodged by an overseas distributor, some people are trying to relate produce Ganesh Babu's money as PCC Chief Botsa Satyanarayana's benami investment.

These two persons have become food for political parties who are trying to corner YSR Congress and Congress. Political circles are now saying that alleged sex scandal queen Tara Chowdary has links with a young MLA from Telugudesam party. If they could pull out a little clue at least against this politician, it is sure that TDP will dig its own grave.

Botsa To Become Deputy-CM After By-Polls!?

The very basic ploy to attack Chief Minister Kiran Kumar is a grudge that he has walked away with that top-post very easily. Now that by-polls becoming a tough task to clear, his rival's name is heard strong in Congress circles again.

Finally, Congress high-command has declared the list of candidates for the upcoming by-polls. Somehow, CM Kiran's favorites are not awarded a chance to contestant in some areas, while in some areas where probability for Congress' win is very low, his recommendations are worked. This seems like a strategy played by some of influential leaders from AP by pressurizing high-command to undress Kiran from the top-chair.

Party's top brass are cuckooing that PCC Chief Botsa Satyanarayana is the next probable candidate for CM Post, but high command may not prefer an Andhra CM in this present turmoil situation where T-issue is haunting them. There are chances to select a T-region MLA as a Chief Minister and naming Botsa a deputy-CM, revealed a congress spokesperson.

Lagadapati's 'Mega' Dance For High-Command

From the moment he has given a new turn to Telangana movement with his fake-dharna to reveal the true colors of KCR, this Vijayawada MP lost his credibility. Though it is done in the name of opening the eyes of KCR's followers and believers, Lagadapati is facing all time low in his political career from then.

Earlier, leaders like Lagadapati and Kavuri are called to Delhi even for a small chit chats about state politics. Now, with the advent of Botsa and Chiru, equations have changed completely and high-command is nodding heads to these Kapu leaders. With no other option in hand, Lagadapati is now praising Chiru for his charisma. One can remember how he attacked megastar for his 'Samajika Nyayam' philosophy earlier.

Lagadapati joining hands with Chiru might help Congress win votebanks from both Kamma and Kapu communities in Krishna district. On the other hand, Lagadapati is in turn helping Congress sleuths anyway for the by-poll campaigning with his sharp statements about opposition, while other Cong leaders are busy attacking CM Kiran.

Shock-Of-Day: Jeevitha-Rajasekhar Joins Chiru

Shocking! Shocking! Shocking! The other day we have witnessed veteran director Dasari Narayanarao singing the tunes of Megastar. Now, arch rivals of Chiru, Jeevitha-Rajasekhar too joined under his umbrella.

After their much hyped entry into BJP bombed like anything, Jeevitha-Rajasekhar once again knocked the doors of Congress party. 'We're hurt all these days because Congress leaders haven't solved our differences with Chiru, though he has became the face of party now', says Rajasekhar. However Rajasekhar never cleared who has resolved their differences, but nodded his head to join hands with Chiru if they are ordered to do so.

State's political circles are shocked with the moves of Jeevitha and Rajasekhar and are busy finding reasons behind their joining hands with Chiru. Observers are saying that Rajasekhar is trying for an MP ticket in Congress for 2014 polls and hence this move.

Bhanu Revealed Everything, Except Heroines?

Don Bhanu revealed his complete history to the CID sleuths who have interrogated him for his alleged links to settlements and other illegal activities. The Suri's killer is revealing everything except the names of girls from tinsel town.

Bhanu Kiran has revealed his links with the settlements and the persons involved in them right from politicians to police officers. In his confession statement, he has given the complete list of weapons purchased from Jagan's aide Mangali Krishna and others. Other details include the percentage of payment given to police officers of Hyderabad for settlements. Reportedly, he paid crores of rupees to ruling party MLAs like Gurunath Reddy (Anantapur) and DSP Sarveswara Rao to finish his shady land deals.

However, CID has till date not opened the names of those heroines involved in these settlements for luring the top officers to sing Bhanu's tune. As we reported earlier, some big-wigs are working hard to protect these high profile starlets. Already, some enthusiastic electronic media journos started digging into Bhanu's confession statement and we may get the names of those sexy beauties out very soon.

Secret Behind Errabelli's Silence!

Telugu Desam Party's T-forum convenor Errabelli DayakaraRao is not active these days both in public and inside party. Insiders are saying that he might leave the party soon to join hands with a T-supporting flag.

According to sources, Errabelli is maintaining a strategic silence and is distancing from Telugudesam. After losing by-polls in T-area, he might have change his opinion in continuing the party as TD repeatedly failed in Telangana aspect. 'He hasn't responded to phone calls from Naidu and even not attended politburo meeting despite being in Hyderabad', a TDP leader said.

However, Errabelli replied to media that he is busy with Parakal by-poll to attend politburo meet. Observers are saying that as TDP has shown him empty hands in allotting Rajya Sabha seat, Errabelli is watching for other options.

Jagan: What Is TDP & Congress Doing In 2009?

YSR party chief has finally lashed out at the opposition that is sharply criticizing his visit to Tirumala recently. The 'declaration' issue took a new turn and in favour of Jagan now.

'I've visited Tirumala in 2009 too as Chief Minister's son and signed no declaration form. What are these so called politicians doing at that time?', questioned Jagan. Reports stated that Jagan visited Tirumala in 2009 but that visit never garnered political attention as the state is not in turmoil then. With Jagan making these remarks, TDP and Congress got a tongue-in-cheek moment and are getting ready to counter Jagan's accusations. However, people are convinced with Jagan's version and this may leave a positive impact of YSR party on them.

Jagan also reminded that TDP earlier accused him of joining hands with Hindutva BJP to bring anti-Muslim packages into place. His pointer is that if TD calls him 'hindutva' then there is no need to oppose his latest Tirumala visit. We have to see how Telugudesam responds to these allegations.

Why did Harikrishna Boycott Politburo Meet?

In the wake of ongoing war for succession between Nandamuri and Nara family members, TDP senior leader Nandamuri Harikrishna skipping the Politburo meet has become a point of discussion in the party.

As per the TDP sources, both Chandrababu Naidu and Harikrishna weren't on talking terms for sometime now. The 2010 Mahanadu has triggered the war for succession between Nandamuri and Nara families. Chandrababu projecting Nara Lokesh as his successor in the party didn't go well with Harikrishna, who wants his son Jr NTR to take the reins of TDP. And the call for the Krishna district bandh by the TDP on the release day of NTR's film Dammu, Balakrishna fans anti SMSes on Dammu, Vallabhaneni Vamsi-YS Jagan controversy has widened the gap between Harikrishna and Chandrababu camps.

Both Harikrishna and NTR strongly believe that Chandrababu Naidu is behind the ploy to keep them at distance from the Telugu Desam party. As most of the party leaders are taking Babu's side now, the father-son duo have been waiting for the right time to attack the party chief. The situation is still under the control, as NTR is tight-lipped about his differences with Chandrababu and Lokesh. If he opens his mouth, then a split in the party is inevitable!

Jagan Will Install YSR's Idol in Place of Lord Balaji

Reacting to Jagan's Tirumala row, TDP senior leader Baireddy Rajasekhara Reddy has commented that if Kadapa MP was made chief minister of the state, then he would install his father late YS Rajasekhar Reddy's idol in place of Lord Balaji in the hill shrine.

Baireddy also found fault with renaming the Kadapa district after YS Rajasekhara Reddy. "Is he greater than Annamaiah, the saint poet who composed around 36000 keertanas," he questioned.

On the other hand, the state government declared that it has no plans to take action against YS Jagan for violating the Tirumala rules, as it is not legally binding to sign such a declaration form. However, it is considering the option to book cases against Jagan's followers who entered the Temple in large numbers and created disturbance.

Jagan, a Christian, entry into Lord Balaji temple without signing the customary declaration form kept for non-Hindus visitors has sparkled a controversy. The declaration form is a practise followed since 1933.

Jagan’s new mantra ‘Operation K’

Jagan following foot steps of his late father Y S Rajashekar Reddy on a mission to attarct people from other parties especially from TDP whose strength is Kamma community.YSR who started ‘Operation Akarsh’ to woo other party leaders into congress,Now Jagan launched ‘Opeartion K’ to woo Kamma leaders into YSR party.

The cold war between Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Nandamuri Harikrishna and NTR Jr has come in handy for YSR Congress Party to aggressively execute its “Operation K”.

YSRCP is trying to lure several Kamma leaders whose affinity is for the Telugu Desam, in order to strengthen its base in Krishna and Guntur districts, a stronghold of Kammas. That seems to be the reason behind the YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy hugging TDP Vijayawada Urban unit president and NTR Jr’s close follower Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan, a Kamma, in full public glare.

Kodali Nani, MLA and another close follower of Harikrishna and his actorson, seem to have counselled Vamsi to hold his horses.

But, according to sources, Vamsi is firm and is likely to make some positive remarks on Jagan in his written explanation in reply to the show-cause notice issued by the TDP.

But, the Vamsi incident is not the first fallout of YSRCP’s Operation Kamma.

When YSRCP was launched, it lured Makineni Peda Rathiah who had strained relations with TDP chief Naidu. But Rathaiah’s honeymoon with Jagan did not last long and he quit the YSRCP.

Now, the YSRCP is sending feelers to another Kamma leader in Guntur district with the offer of a Lok Sabha seat. If the leader, who has some personal image, joins the YSRCP, it will be a big catch for Jagan.

In Tenali in Guntur district, Nannapaneni Rajakumari’s daughter and son-inlaw have joined the YSRCP.

In north coastal Andhra Gadde Babu Rao has already quit TDP and is on the verge of joining the YSRCP.

Alarmed by the attempts to wean Kammas, Chandrababu Naidu has embarked on a counter strategy as part of which he has met actor Mohan Babu in Tirupati. But when Mohan Babu almost decided to join the TDP, Jagan entered the scene. He and his wife Bharati visited Mohan Babu’s residence Sunday. With Mohan Babu and Jagan having family relations, the former has to now choose between YSRCP and TDP.

Sources said Jagan is casting his net over Kamma leaders in Congress too.

Last Days for Sakshi Paper

Sakshi paper the so called mouth piece of Jagan which was launched with only motto to bring back YSR into power raised funds through illegal means and government ads is counting its last days as

The state government has decided to stop all advertisement support to the Jagathi Group of Companies owned by YSR Congress president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy at the same time government on a move to seize properties.

According to sources, the information and public relations department prepared a draft Government Order on Sunday evening, in consultation with the law department, to stop all advertisements to the Telugu daily Sakshi and Sakshi Television.

An official associated with drafting the Government Order told this correspondent that the state is of the opinion that the Jagathi Group was established with ill-gotten money and the CBI has prima facie established that the investments by various companies was in exchange for favours done when YSR was the CM.

Ads to Sakshi: G.O. likely in 2 days
An official source revealed that it was the opinion of the legal experts that when the CBI has established a prima facie in the alleged offences against the Jagathi Group, it is unethical to continue support to the publication and broadcasting company by giving it government advertisements. Sources say the Government Order will be issued in a couple of days.

Jagan’s Dookudu to End Soon

The state government is contemplating a proposal to attach the properties of YSR Congress president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy under the provisions of the Criminal Law Amendment Ordinance, 1944 . With this move Jagan’s Dookudu may end soon as his financial power will be in hands on government.

According to highly-placed sources, the state government, after discussing with the Central Bureau of Investigation, has decided to accord sanction to the agency to move an application before the concerned court for attachment of Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy’s properties, particularly holdings by his Jagathi Group of Publications.

The Ordinance enables the state to attach the money or other property of any person which the state or the Centre believes was procured by committing an offence. Even before the court takes cognisance of the offence, the Ordinance empowers the state to attach the property of a person if it has reason to believe that the person has committed a scheduled offence, a legal expert clarified. The CBI’s chargesheets filed before the special CBI Court, charge Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy with amassing wealth by using the good offices of his father’s (YSR’s) government to get investments in his companies.

Congress Targets YSR, Dug Its Own Grave

The state Congress leaders strategy to target YS Jagan by questioning the caste and religious of former chief minister late YS Rajasekhar Reddy has backfired, as the YSR Congress leaders has launched a counter-attack against AICC chief Sonia Gandhi.

Congress leaders tried to project YSR as a Christian, to woo the strong Reddy community voters who were sailing with Jagan. To counter Congress party's move, now YSR Congress leaders were questioning the nationality of Congress president Sonia Gandhi. "The Congress leaders who are making a hue and cry about the caste and religion of YSR should first question the nationality of their party chief Sonia Gandhi. The true colors of Congress were exposed now with the caste politics they have been playing," said a YSRC leader.

Political analysts say, the dalit-Christians (who were a traditional vote bank of Congress) are angry with the YSR's Christianity issue raised by the Congress party. There are chances that they may distance Congress and join the YSR party in future. Congress has dug its own grave by touching sensitive issue!

Return SEZs Land to Farmers, Demands TDP

The Telugu Desam Party on Sunday demanded that the State Government return the land that it acquired from farmers for setting up Special Economic Zones across the State.

Talking to reporters during their visit to Ramanakkapet village of Kothapalli mandal in East Godavari district, former minister Kodela Siva Prasad Rao said that the State Government thousands of acres of land from the farmers on the pretext of setting up SEZs

At the time of acquisition, the farmers were assured compensation for their land and jobs. However, neither the government set up the SEZs nor the farmers were paid compensation or given jobs.

The TDP leader alleged that the government was promotion real estate business on the lands that it acquired for the SEZs.

Therefore, he demanded that the government return the land to the affected farmers and also pay compensation for holding the land in its possession for the last so many years.

Kodela along with other TDP leaders including Opposition Leader in Legislative Council Dadi Veerabhadra Rao, MLA M Kishan Reddy and Machilipatnam MP K Narayana Rao interacted with farmers who were affected due to Kakinada SEZ.

The TDP leaders would also interact with farmers affected due to other SEZs in the State. They are likely to submit a report to the party president N Chandrababu Naidu on the completion of their tour.

Sailajanath Accuses Jagan of Forcing By-Elections

Primary Education Minister S Sailajanath on Sunday accused YSR Congress president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy of forcing the by-elections in the State to achieve his selfish goals.

Talking to reporters at Congress Legislature Party Office, Sailajanath said that it was purely due to one individual's personal agenda that 17 assembly and one Parliament constituencies in the States would be facing by-elections.

He said that the Congress party would be facing the by-elections on the plank of Jagan Mohan Reddy's corruption and the welfare and developmental programmes of the State Government.

Stating that Jagan could go to any extent to win the by-elections, Sailajanath alleged that the Jagan had a secret pact with the Telangana Rashtra Samithi in the last by-elections and that was the reason why he did not field his candidates in the Telangana region.

He said that the Congress party would expose Jagan's secret understanding with the TRS before the people.

Describing Kiran Kumar Reddy as an able Chief Minister, Sailajanath said that the State Government have been implementing several welfare and developmental programmes for the people. He said people would vote for the Congress party due to its performance and programmes.

The minister also praised Telangana Jagruthi president K Kavitha for taking up hunger fast demanding the installation of Dr B R Ambedkar's statue in the assembly premises.

However, he said that the Chief Minister has already announced on the floor of the House that Dr Ambedkar's statue would be installed in the assembly premises and a proper space was being identified for the same.
