Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana on Sunday expressed confidence that the Congress party would emerge victorious in the ensuing by-elections to be held for 18 Assembly constituencies in the state.
Talking to media persons at Payakaraopeta in Tuni mandal in the district, the PCC chief predicted that the people of constituencies would vote out both YSR Congress and Telugu Desam parties in the by-elections.
Stating that the people of state are not in a position to believe TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu, he claimed the TDP would get third position in the by-elections.
Botsa called upon rank and file to work sincerely and unitedly for the winning chances of party candidates in the elections.
He said that TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu, who termed agriculture as `waste business' has no moral right to speak on the farmers cause.
He said that Naidu would have counted jail grills if he did not have got stay orders from courts over the cases pending against him.
The PCC chief said that the supporters of YSR Congress resigned from their elected posts following money offered by YSR Congress party president Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Stating that the government would increase working days of national employment guarantee scheme to 200 days, he said that the government would continue all the welfare schemes started by former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy.
Responding to the complaints of related to pensions and fee reimbursement of students, the PCC chief asked Jaganmohan Reddy to come out with proper details on them.
He alleged that Jagan has been making efforts to postpone CBI probe against him in the name of by-elections.
